Construction installation, north west

The package that
turns up when it said

Installation work lives or dies on sequence. Arrive late and you hold up four other trades; arrive early and there is nothing to fix to. We plan around the programme we are given, and we tell you straight away when it stops being realistic.

How we work

What a contractor actually needs

Four things that matter more than the day rate.

  • Sequence respected

We work to your programme and flag a clash early, while there is still time to move something, rather than on the day.

  • A defined package

What is in our scope and what belongs to somebody else, agreed in writing. Most site disputes are scope gaps nobody closed.

  • Site rules followed

Inductions, permits, method statements and the principal contractor’s arrangements under CDM, treated as a condition of being there.

  • Records as you go

Progress, variations and sign-offs recorded during the job, so handover is a formality rather than an archaeology exercise.

The process

From enquiry to handover

How a package is scoped, planned and closed out.

  1. Step 1: Drawings and programme

Send us the drawings, the specification and where the package sits in the programme. We will tell you honestly whether the dates work.

  2. Step 2: Scope and price

A written scope with the interfaces named: what is ours, what is yours, and what has not been allocated to anyone yet.

  3. Step 3: Install to the programme

Labour planned against the sequence, with early warning of anything upstream that is going to affect us.

Questions

Common questions

The things asked before a package is let.

What does “other construction installation” actually cover?

It is the SIC classification our work is filed under, and in practice it means installation work on site that is not one of the separately classified trades. We would rather tell you exactly what we do take on, package by package, than hide behind the category. Send us a scope and you will get a direct answer about whether it is ours.

Do you work for main contractors or direct for clients?

Both. The difference is mostly in who holds the programme and the interfaces. Working under a main contractor we fit into existing site arrangements; direct for a client we are clearer still about where our scope ends.

How do you handle variations?

Priced and agreed before the work is done, with the instruction recorded. Instructions given verbally on site get confirmed in writing the same day, which protects both sides when the account is settled.

What about health and safety?

We work to the principal contractor’s arrangements under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, complete inductions, and work to agreed method statements and permits. We will not claim a scheme membership on a website; ask us directly and we will send you what we actually hold.

How long has the company been trading?

It has been on the register since 16 January 2019. The company number, registered office and filing history are public, and the link below takes you to the record.
